Layering in the Summer quite difficult. But if you can make a vest work, it is definitely worth the effort. The minimalistic silhouette along with the mesh back makes it super easy & breezy to wear…i have yet to find an outfit that does NOT look good with this kind of vest on.
Armani Exchange vest/Zara pants/Schutz heels.

These are very casual outfits especially with the wedged sneakers! She’s wearing a sheer leopard tanks + silk Pajama-esque shorts+ sneakers…it really doesnt get much comfier than this!
I’m a big believer in inexpensive tops matched with expensive high end jewlery - her top is from Zara - which is relatively inexpensive compared to her designer Dita shades and Celine purse. Overall these pieces can be easily found in stores such as H&M or Forever 21.

Throwback - 07/10/2012

This was taken in 2008 in Quebec town, having lived in Toronto for a big chunk of my life, I had little appreciation for ancient architecture. But, while I was at this place, I felt that there is something so fascinating about learning how people lived and what they worshiped hundreds of years ago. Touring old structures, whether they are churches or homes, is a compelling experience and makes me more generally more knowledgable.
In this picture, my figure is accentuated because I removed color of the background – to further underscore it’s ancient-ness. I also brightened myself by 2x shades so I stand out significantly more.
I remember a couple years back, light color jeans was a trend for the younger generation – to bring out the liveliness. I matched it with a yellow hoodie – the color yellow is a very good choice for clothing. Many might find it too bold while others find it childish. Yellow is not as bold as colors such as magenta or red, but at the same time it shows personality, especially if you find your wardrobe becoming tiresome and boring. As well, if it is matched with the right style and clothing – it can easily come off as a classy piece. I find that it is best matched with black or white, in the form of either pants or tops – so that it does not take the attention away from yellow nor does it add to the boldness.

Teal Love! - 07/02/2012

This season I am absolutely obsessed with this colour, may it be a sweater, pants, or purse! I have been trying to deviate away from the neutral colours such as black, beige and grey for a while now. But no colour have done it besides the teal! It is also similar to the Tiffany colour. Therefore it naturally has a classy implication.
This colour goes exceptionally well with white. For example, teal sweater/top with white pants is a very clean look but at the same time extremely stylish. What I also find about the colour is that it gives off an illusion of lighter skin tone - lighter skin tone is perceived as beauty in many countries in Asia.
If you are looking for a colour that is fun, classy and different - this is for you. It is not a harsh or aggressive colour, but it no doubt will make you stand out from the crowd.

View at Niagara - 06/21/2012

Totally Candid ;) This was taken in Niagara falls.
Top: from Dynamite, small knit. It comes in handy when I want to throw on something comfortable and trendy.
Dress: it looks like a skirt, but it is actually a tube dress, top section of the dress is white and fluffy, you can’t really see that but it works well with the knit.
Bag: White and blue are both very gentle color, for the bag you want something not too harsh but stands out anyway. The long strap brown leather bag is a fad this summer, it’s a color that is perceived to be able to go with any combination of outfits. This is why many shoes for both men and women are brown.
Accessory: I thought the big flower on the bracelet aligns perfectly with the weather. I do think the pearl is not the best choice of accessory, but it will do enough for this outfit.
I don’t wear a lot of skirts because they don’t compliment my hips. But, the shape to a female’s body, often times it is all about the contrast between the hip and the waist. By throwing on the loose knit, it draws some attention away from the hip area, as it hides my waist. So if you have a small hip like me, a loose top (preferably off the shoulder for me) is perfect!

BURBERRY! - 04/05/12

Guess what guys! I’ve got my very own pair of Burberry glasses! A while ago, I had some bad news and that is I lost my Gucci glasses :( it was thin black frames with shiny studs embedded on the side. It was very pretty and suited me quite well. I was extremely upset when I lost those, but very soon I became excited after deciding to buy a pair of Burberry glasses. It is the picture shown above. It has got that leopardy pattern for the frames with Burberry logo on the side, overall it is a very simple pair. The frames are thicker than my ex-Gucci glasses, but somehow this suits me as well and I have been told that these look even better! I am content about this purchase, it was on sale for about $150 dollars! (without lens). Furthermore, I loved the case! What’s cool about Burberry glasses case is that not every single case looks the same! Even though the pattern is always the generic style -black, white brown and red stripes, but the combination varies! Anywho! Time to put my dorky front on! 8)

Pre-Summer shopping! - 03/31/12

I’ve been gone for so long! Been so busy with work and school. I just would like to say that I absolutely adore the weather and enjoy wearing all the cute things in my closet, which I’ve been stocking up on since…winter time! One obvious trend this summer is definitely the Maxi series. Whether it is a maxi dress worn beautifully by graceful and sophisticated females or maxi skirt rocked by vibrant and sexy girlies! I personally purchased a maxi dress from Forever 21, for $35. You can definitely find cheaper deals but I was in love with the dress when I first saw it, plus forever 21 was having a sale deal online so it wasn’t a miss for me :) To match the dresses, I bought a pair of wedges, so the dress wouldn’t drag onto the ground while I’m walking up or down the stairs. It is gorgeously long, a little convenient, but it is so worth it my lovelys!

Outfit of the day - Can’t wait till summer! - 03/30/12

Absolutely gorgeous outfit, matched with uncanny accessories: double lay-up brown leather belt with refined lenient shorts in rosy pink – not your everyday casual match. Up top, a blouse of parallel nature with the shorts, accessorized with a wrap-around knotted scarf – spontaneous and classy. This modest look is then enhanced by the strapped watch and black leather purse, balancing out the outfit’s sheer simplicity with a trace of urban sensation. To me, the most essential element of fashion is accessorizing. Take this look for an example, without the accessories, the blouse and shorts alone will not turn heads. Nevertheless, with the assistance of leather decorations, the inclusive look indubitably sees you beyond the simplicity and to a new level of attraction.

The New Uggs? - 03/04/12

You will never guess, these woven high heel boots – a combination of Rag & Bone’s sporty structure and Bottega Veneta’s refined leather work, presents you - UGGS Australia (at $850). Traditional UGGs – the twin faced sheepskin with internal fleece were initially worn for warmth and comfort. It became a fashion trend in the United States in the late 1990s, and before everyone had time to adopt the fad- it was worldwide in the late 2000s. It has been gaining popularity at a ridiculous pace in recent years, many local manufacturers imitated the style and incorporated UGGs’ features into their very own creations.
Back to these beauties in front of us – imagine wearing these with your favorite pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a classy neck lined silk top inside a smart black leather jacket, and casual circled scarf wrapped around 2-3 times to enhance the flare. These stylish peep-toed booties are sure to provide you with warm, fuzzy feelings of joy during chilly seasons.

The “in-between” Seasons - 03/01/12

March just hit, it is almost time for that awkward in-between season of the year. Usually by this time, I grow extremely burdened by heavy winter jackets. No matter what world class brand of bomber you’re wearing, it won’t ever be as stylish as your everyday spring coats. The departure of winter’s fascination with expensive coats (ex. Canada Goose, Moose Knuckles) comes spring’s flirty alternative - the jacket. Many designers have recognised the need for a stylish cover-up during this difficult “in-between seasons”.
Looking at high-end fashion, go-to labels for the perfect jacket would include Chanel and Stella McCartney Leather jackets —Burberry Prorsum’s tiny biker jackets reference the style label from over a hundred years back, while London label Dom & Ruby’s Shearling leather jacket – limited edition, sees you beyond spring.
Talking about a more practical, mid to low-end fashion, chains like Abercrombie, Club Monaco, & Esprit sell coats with a price range of $80-$200. Personally, a pea coat from H&M that comes in both colors of green and red caught my eye. The colors are vibrant, perfect for transitioning your wardrobe into spring. This piece is also versatile, I can easily rock it when spring comes along, or even now layered over a hoodie for extra warmth to get through this “in-between season”.
